Sound Immersion and Healing Voice Deep Chant, and Medicine Melody Weekend Workshop with the Grammy’s nominated musician and voice artist Silvia Nakkach. Join in this exceptional event with the Grammy’s nominated musician and voice artist Silvia Nakkach as she guides you to what she refers as “the Home of the Voice”, a weekend of workshops and musical offerings to immerse in the healing potential of your voice without limits, drawing from a wealth of experience that integrates the many dimensions of the Voice; shamanic, creative, therapeutic, and the voice as a sacred sound to accompany resonant instruments like crystal bowls and beyond. Departing from grounding toning towards fine tuning to ancient scales, Indian ragas, and medicine melodies, that lead into cultivating the healing power of sound, music improvisation, and the matrix of melodies from diverse cultures of enlightenment, inspiring personal tone quality and aesthetic curiosity. We’ll invite a new approach to chanting and singing as deep listening and a spiritual practice, while introducing the body of the voice as a space that allows: akash (aether = limitless space).

A profound and transformative energetic experience of the vitality inherent to the voice as we embody the creativity of sound healing in community.

Learning Objectives:

• Exploring deep listening exercises with the singing bowls and vocal fine tuning to accompany and informed the musicality of the voice.

• Deepening the meaningful purpose of the sound continuum by means of understanding the ancient Nada Yoga fundamental concepts of prana (life force), laya (time as rest and space), shakti (creative energy), akanda (uninterrupted), rasa (universal emotion), raga (acoustic coloring the mind), and NadaBhrahma (Sound as the Creator).

• Learn to sing simple scales and tonal movements to accompany the crystal bowls, drones, and simple instruments.

• Become familiar with an original repertory of melodic phrasing and medicine melodies like the icaros and the mantras of ancient cultures,

• Develop and open the voice with extended vocal techniques, exercises and practices of fine tuning to enhance breath support and tone quality, and accumulation of prana (life force)

• Participate in collective vocal improvisations that lead to meditation landing in meaningful silence.
